MINISTER OF EDUCATION URGES UNIVERSITIES TO ESTABLISH A STRONG BOND WITH HOST COMMUNITIES.

The Minister Of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, has urged all universities in the country to established a strong bond with their host communities in order to reduce cases of insecurity in the country.

The Minister, stated this while speaking at the 43rd convocation ceremony of Ahmadu Bello University, held at Mamman Kontagora Square, Samaru Campus.

He added that university education can only be acquired if security is guaranteed.

University councils to be inaugurated soon

He assured that councils for all universities will soon be inaugurated.

He urged universities to focus their attention on research on Agriculture, Health, Engineering and Technology.

Prominent personalities who graced the occasion are: The Emir of Zazzau, Mal. Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna state, Governor Dauda Lawal Dare of Zamfara state, Former Governor of Gombe state, Ibrahim Hassan Dan Kwambo and Hajiya Naja’atu Muhammad.
